Engineering due diligence is most valuable when it's genuinely independent — when the person conducting the review has no stake in the outcome and no relationship with the party whose work they're reviewing. That independence is structurally difficult to achieve through a firm that has an ongoing commercial relationship with the client or the counterparty. We are engaged specifically for our independence: we have no business development interest in the deal proceeding, and our reputation depends on the accuracy of our technical assessments, not on facilitating transactions.

Our due diligence work covers capital project review — assessing engineering estimates, design basis, schedule assumptions, and contractor deliverables for major projects — and technical risk assessment for acquisitions, joint ventures, project financing, and contractual engagements.
